About Me
Hi, I’m Nathan. I am currently studying a MathPhys degree at the University of Warwick. The 26/27 academic year will be my Masters year. I am eager to pursue a PhD once I have completed my course.
I plan to use this website to document my academic work and ocasionally my extracurricular interests.
Research interests
I am mainly focussed on pursuing Cosmology-related projects. Currently, I work on both an observational, data-driven project using the Cosmic Infrared Background whilst separately laying the groundwork for a more theoretical project in Cosmological Perturbation Theory.
Outside of academia my interests include:
- Motorsport (British Superbikes, F1, Sim-racing)
- Classical Theatre
- Writing (Both fiction and non-fiction)
- Radio Controlled Aircraft
Acknowledgements
I would like to extend my utmost thanks to the following people who have helped me along my way:
- Dr Tom Cornish (Imperial University), for being an amazing summer internship supervisor and continuing to support me both in our work together and in any other questions I may have
- Prof David Alonso (Oxford University), for welcoming me into the Oxford Astrophysics group and giving me my first taste of formal Cosmology
- Prof Siri Chongchitnan (Warwick University), for agreeing to supervise me in my 4th year dissertation project. I can’t wait to get started!
- Dr Sara Maluebre (Oxford University), for offering invaluable help and expertise in our work in the CIB
- Finally, to all my friends who I will not to endeavour to name; thank you for everything you do
